Yen, a concept that was skipped over, is the currency used on the site and can be used to purchase various items and equipment to assist your character. The Sis Shopping Center is where all our purchasable items are located. Upon achieving the proper amount of Yen, items may be bought through the Purchase Thread.
Your Guide To Creating A Character
Alright, as I am well aware of by now, joining a new site is difficult, especially when a system is in place. That where I will be your guide, guiding you through the process of creating a character and developing their beginning skills.
Classes & Ranks
First off, you have several classes to choose from. The classes are as listed below, first based on their location and overall structure, then by their individual class. Note that each race has its own unique skills and abilities specific to them alone, Mod Souls being the only ones who can access certain abilities exclusive to other races.
Hollow Category: Hollow- Arrancar
Human Category: High Spec - Fullbringer - Quincy
Artificial Category: Mod Soul
[/ul]
When you decide which class you wish to be, it is then time to decide whether you'll take up a highranked or a low ranked character. High ranked characters start out with more stats at the beginning, but due to their experience, they earn less stats from threads. Low ranked characters start out with less stats at creation, but due to their learning potential, can gain stats quicker. As a rule, you are only allowed to create a single high ranked character. High Ranked characters consist of the following according to class:
Hollow: Espada, Privaron Espada, Vasto Lorde
Human: Academy Leader
[/ul]
Any other rankings are considered low ranked and thus start out with lower stats. For a better explanation on what each of the four stats do as well as stat reduction due to injury, check our Stat Explanation.
Also, be sure to check the SiS Roster for available positions. You may reserve certain high ranking positions while you work on your character application. Also, when deciding, check out our Faction information for a listing of what the qualifications are.
Creating A Character
Now with a slightly better understanding of how the stats work and the general classes, it's time to officially create the character. Starting off, all characters use the basic Universal Template regardless of Class or Rank. Exception to this rule are that of Mod Souls.
Most of the options are self explanatory from name, character description and personality. Then comes the history. Two paragraphs are minimum, but we recommend more if you're creating a highranked character.
Statistics Area of Universal Template
Now comes the fun part. First off you have reiatsu hue, which is simply the color of your character when they flare their reiryoku. Then we move to the stats. Using the Starting Stats thread, you'll need to scroll down until you see the Starting Stats area, which will determine your beginning stats. You'll see four separate stats beneath: Reiryoku, Power, Agility, and Affinity. Keeping in mind what each one means, we will skip the EXP for the time being and focus on the other four stats.
You may allocate your beginning stats in any way you desire, but keep in mind that class-exclusive abilities require certain stats to utilize.
Starting Abilities:
While arranging stats, keep in mind that abilities exclusive to each class require certain stat requirements to fulfill. at creation, you needn't worry about the EXP requirement as that only affects gaining abilities after creation. Abilities can be gained just by meeting the requirements, ignoring EXP at the moment of creation. Any ability, with the exception of Shunko, Blut and Segunda Etapa may be achieved at creation. However, certain abilities will require a higher amount, making them inaccessible at creation. Soul Link is available to all classes regardless of ranking or class.
What about the starting EXP?
Now, going back to the EXP, it is best used for one thing at creation: Skill Tree Paths.
Skill Tree Paths are extensions of the basic abilities and as such allow a character to specialize in a certain area. Spending EXP will allow the character to increase their skills in various areas such as an Arrancar having a harder Hierro or a Shinigami using more advanced Kido. The Skill Tree also allows the usage of customized techniques, such as customized Cero or shunpo variations. Mind the fact that to achieve a higher level, one must first purchase the previous levels of a single skill. The purchased skills will be deducted from your EXP and be placed in the Skill Tier area of the template.
Soul Weapon?
You probably notice that at the bottom of the Universal Template, it says to place Soul Weapon Here. A Soul Weapon would be the individual's own unique ability which is separate from the abilities above. Below is a list of the templates based on class and rank.
- Shinigami/Visored Zanpaktou
- Visored Mask Release (added below zanpaktou template)
- Hollow Ability
- Arrancar Resurecion
- Fullbringer's Fullbring
- High Spec Human's Ability
- Quincy's 'Bow'
- Mod Soul's Modification
The abilities granted to a character upon creation often differ, but must follow a particular theme. Depending on what stats you have placed on the Affinity stat, more attacks may be obtained after creation. After you have your abilities figured out, your character will be ready to be checked over.
