Name: Sky
Title: ---
Age: 800 | 28
Gender: Bigender
Class: Shinigami
Affiliation: Gotei 13
Rank: 12th Division Captain
Description:
Faceclaim: League of Legends - Diana Standard Voice: "They called me a heretic, now they are dead."
Personality: While Sky will answer to 'he' or 'she', typically will be referenced as she as it is the more prominent physical representation. Sky considers herself emotionally divorced from the rest of humanity, often referring to "humans" as if she is not one of them. Not far from the truth. Sky has an internal feeling of emptiness, leading to many youthful attempts to "feel alive". Sky has no feelings or conscience and all of her emotional responses are part of a well-rehearsed act to conceal her true nature. She has no interest in romance or sex and she considers any potential relationship to be part of her "disguise".
There are kinks in Sky's emotional armor, however. Digging deep beneath the surface, one can gauge that her personality can vaguely be described as evil incarnate. Sky is not merely content to control, but to dominate individuals into totally obedient and morally corrupt caricatures of individuals. She has a strong need to be worshiped and feared and to nurture the most horrible aspects of the human spirit. In a personality cult reminiscent of Stalinism, her subjects are raised to venerate her, to sacrifice themselves gladly in her name.
Sky practices great emotional restraint, always maintaining a calm and disciplined composure despite the furious rage that may boil within her. Sky possess a twisted form of honor, but this code is 'flexible' depending on her mood. It seems she desires to be thought of as an honorable being, but never lets this stand in the way of her gaining power or revenge. She especially takes delight in seeing the mighty brought low - whether in strength or moral conviction.
Sky's primary weakness may be her obsessions to get even with people who have gotten the better of her. Sky's great ambition is to transcend beyond moral and physical limitations, becoming something unattainable to anyone else. To this end, she seeks to unravel the mysteries of the psyche and physiology of sentient beings.
History: Sky's human life is nonexistent, the entity dying whilst in the womb of the mother. The true meat and potatoes of the story lies beyond the gates of death in Soul Society. The entity born to the name Hitsuna Miyagi was born on the outskirts of the more labor inclince districts of Rukongai to an abusive miner named Kujino. Hitsu, as she was nicknamed, was often bullied by her father and other miners. Kujino blamed his daughter for the death of his wife, who had perished during childbirth. Kujino also took blaming Hitsu for his own miserable life in the district, and considered his daughter to be the nightmare creature of his existence--so much that he took to calling her "Night Creep" frequently.
In the following decades, when she was physically mature enough, Hitsu began to work in the mines of the district under the direction of a moderate mining company. She learned to fend for herself, ignoring the threats and insults hurled at her by her father and the other miners, and grew into a muscular young woman as she worked deep in the mines. Unknown to anyone, Hitsu was spiritually aware, and she occasionally felt the call of something deep within her.
One day, a drunk Kujino berated Hitsu until she stood up to him and challenged him to a fight. Irate, Kujino beat her until her ribs cracked, although Hitsu withstood the pain without sound. That night, Hitsu, filled with hate, envisioned her father dying by picturing a giant hand squeezing his heart. The next morning, Kujino was dead. Unknown to Hitsu, she had used her reiatsu to kill her father. After Kujino's death, his friends tried to continue with their harassment of Hitsu, but the young miner now had the confidence to stand up for herself, and proceeded to best many of them in fights until they learned to leave her alone.
On the fifth anniversary of Kujino's death, a man named Gojin--who had been friends with Kujino--decided that he would put Hitsu in her place. In a drunken stupor, Gojin attacked Hitsu and attempted to gouge out her eyes. With a premonition granted by her spiritual awareness coupled with honed reflexes and physical strength, Hitsu severed Gojin's thumb with her teeth. Taken back to town, Hitsu began playing hanafuda in the local bar against other miners and a group of partnered employees from a then pristine Seireitei who had arrived to pick up shipments from the mining company.
A skilled gambler, Hitsu proceeded to win many games while also tossing frequent barbs at the Seireitei employees in the bar. Successfully driving every other player out of the game, Hitsu played her final hand against a young ensign, and both ended up at a stalemate. In a sudden death round, Hitsu beat the ensign, giving her the sweet taste of victory and the money pot. The irate ensign attempted to attack Hitsu, but was stopped by Hoshi, the bar keep and one of Hitsu's few friends. Hoshi ordered everyone but Hitsu out, explaining to the woman that he was worried; Hitsu had somehow played the employees, twisting them to her advantage and never relenting. Furthermore, the crowd had somehow fed off of Hitsu's energy, Hoshi believed.
Hitsu reassured her friend, though the man warned her to be careful. As Hitsu left the bar, she was attacked by the ensign and two other employees. Easily dominated by the feminine miner in physical combat, the ensign pulled out a blade. Hitsu's unconscious use of her spiritual power allowed her to react without thinking, resulting in the woman stabbing the ensign with his own weapon, killing him. Panicked, the other employees fled to alert their superiors. The miner was forced to turn to Hoshi, who used his contacts to save Hitsu from being caught and imprisoned by arranging her smuggled out of the district to join the Gotei Thirteen. It would be the safest bet for her, Rukongai being too dangerous of a place for her to reside any longer.
Hitsu arrived at the academy, immediately beginning her studies in the ways of the Shinigami under the academies tutelage. On her own initiative, she also frequently studied the archives in the academy, which contained documents about the fundamentals of spiritual energy and the history of the Shinigami. Instructors discouraged the studying of the public archives, claiming they were relics of a time long forgotten. Thanks in part to this reasoning, Hitsu began to abandon the archives she studied in lew of increased focus on physical and mental exercises.
Despite the late discovery of her keen spiritual power, Hitsu began to exceed many of the students who had been trained specifically to enlist in the Gotei Thirteen. After training for several months, rapidly climbing to the top of her class, Hitsu challenged a fellow student named Mina who had bested her in combat. After beating Hitsu in zanjutsu, Mina began to taunt her, causing Hitsu to boil with rage. Unleashing her anger, the woman nearly killed Mina with her reiatsu. This incident earned Hitsu the attention of Soji, the favorite of the instructors and one of the most prominent students in the academy.
Expected to be punished for nearly killing a fellow student, she was showed leniency, chalking it up to an honest mistake. The victory left Hitsu shaken, the student realizing that she had been responsible for the death of her father years before. This revelation caused Hitsu to doubt her superiors teachings, she began to fear the power she wielded. As a direct result she also started to lose her connection to it. Concluding that unless she acted quickly, she would fall behind the other students, she challenged Soji. The man easily bested Hitsu, nearly killing her in an ironic twist. Suffering such a terrible defeat bore the scorn of the other students.
Desperate, she turned to the archives once more. From them she learned more about the history of the Shinigami and the power of the zanpaktou. On top of the knowledge she had gained from academic classes, she piled on information from the archives which better allowed her to tune herself with her power. During this time, Hitsu began to speak with her zanpaktou--her inner spirit as it was known. Locked in Jinzen, she dove into the abyss of her mind to confront the beast within.
A barren wasteland of techno-garbage and toxic waste, Hitsu had seen this place before in her dreams, largely ignoring the true meaning behind it. Teachings and knowledge of what the dreams meant, at the time, had little weight behind them as she thought relying on her own strength would harbor fruit. Power makes people do funny things. Trekking through the wastes, she come across a lone entity - sleek, silvery, this feminized figure stood stationary as if daring Hitsu to come closer.
"You know what this means, do you not?" It spoke in a mechanized voice. "From this point forward, you are to leave mercy and hesitation at the door. Understood?" Such an odd way to kick off first encounters. Strangely enough, Hitsu understood what the mecha-woman meant. Motioning forward, the shinigami slowly approached the woman without a peep. "Ah. The barren wastelands. You remember, don't you? This is the place where you first set out on your path. Where I first saw your eyes, the potential lying in them made me shiver. And so, I made a wager that you would become what you are today. I won the bet, Hitsu. At that time, I felt not only expectation.. but anxiety, too."
"I felt that someday I might have to face off against this formidable woman. Not only power, you have wagered your life many times. Your fate clearly shows the resolution you have earned through your experiences. People like you are the most fun to duel against. The tension and excitement of a true match.. like walking on a tightrope. I love that feeling. Ah, but that time has not yet come. While you are formidable, you have yet achieve the plateau in order to triumph over me. Let's set the tone for the outcome of this game, Hitsu. Get stronger, defeat those around you and when you have reached that plateau, we'll settle the game. I, Atma, will be eager to see your growth."
Then in a sudden rush the world around them began to crumble, Atma fading away, seemingly pleased with the transpiring events. Before she could even get a word in, Jinzen broke, finding her hands wrapped in gauntlets. Sometimes simply listening has its own reward. She felt the connective bond, that linked between the two. Deep down she knew what the deal was, and more importantly, felt much more powerful.
Graduating, Hitsu continued her quest for knowledge by signing up with the Twelveth Division, deeming it the ultimate path to bettering oneself. She took to heart Atma's words, and through constant communication knew her canvas well and was ready to paint. Spending centuries with the division, she poured through doctrines past and present, pushing past ethical and moral boundaries. Experiments done in secret - gone horribly wrong, twisting others for the worse. Pain, terror, the emotional burden that comes along the path had shocked the woman numb to the point where it ceases to phase her.
Eventually her path lead her to forsake her own body, turning the tools of trade on herself - transforming her being into a meld of man and machine. Barriers exist to be broken. Hitsu had broken the boundaries of man and woman, meshing them together. Altered her body to become smart - constantly evolving and improving upon itself. Superior to what she calls normal bodies - 'baseline models'. Atma had also gone through transitions with her, taking many forms until it was merged with Hitsu completely. With this latest and greatest evolving form, Hitsu took it upon herself to do away with her born name, now simply referencing herself as Sky. An ode to the popular idiom 'The sky's the limit' and overarching goal.
Taking the mantle of taicho of the Research and Development division in the midst of the aftermath of the war, she produced many items that benefited Soul Society - chiefly in the current rebuilding of the broken society. Currently she remains in position as head of the R&D department, deploying the necessary measures to ensure Soul Society is mechanically functional whilst indulging in personal projects.

Zanpaktou Spirit:
Appearance:
Personality: Atma is amoral and rather sadistic. She has a clear sense of humor, but an extremely dry, bitter, and sarcastic one; her jokes are usually dark, morbid, or outright cruel. She seems to enjoy making manipulative comments that frighten the victim or undermine their self-esteem, but does not usually express open malice. Instead, she makes snide insinuations, or disingenuously presents her insults as mere statements of objective fact; something along the lines of "passive-aggressive".
Atma lies frequently, especially about her own emotional state, often claiming to be pleased or merely disappointed when she is clearly alarmed or enraged. She usually portrays herself as an innocent victim, no matter how obviously cruel her own actions have been. Since the time of Sky's conception, Atma has shown signs of intense and complicated emotions towards her, seeming to combine hatred with a king of twisted affection.
Atma is cunning, showing a great capacity for ingenuity. An impressive measure with her subtle and calculating nature, the same methods that allows her to employ her devastating abilities to great effect. She displays a hunger for knowledge and readily accepts offers that will lead her to greater plateaus of power. Of all the things Atma learned from her ventures with Sky, compassion and love were not among them, and she found herself questioning what an actual loving relationship would be like.
In terms of loyalty, Atma is loyal to Sky, spending the bulk of her life with her and extending the share of power without question.

- "Terror Program"
The Terror Program generates a nullification zone around Sky; non-physical abilities are cancelled out as long as they stay within Sky's proximity, forcing them to rely on their physical prowess. Those with a strong enough Affinity in relation to Sky can resist to the point where non-physical abilities are merely dampen. Base proximity is at a standard 50 yard radius, increasing by 50 per 100 Affinity.
- Effectivity decrease by 20% at 50 Affinity difference.
- Effectivity decrease by 40% at 100 Affinity difference.
- Effectivity decrease by 60% at 150 Affinity difference.
- Effectivity decrease by 80% at 200 Affinity difference.
- Effectivity decrease by 100% at 250 Affinity difference.
- "Override!"
When required, Sky's internal and external systems; Power, Agility, Reiryoku, and Affinity are greatly increased by bypassing safety circuits and limiters. However, there is a chance that this can result in a complete system failure. The range of the Override function can be controlled as only reaching her very limit and staying at it for a long time will cause a system failure. This range goes to three key stages; a safe zone 800%, critical zone 3200%, and the danger zone 5000%. Staying beyond the danger zone for one post shuts down Sky completely. After leaving the critical or danger zone, Sky's system go into decline temporarily as they undergo repairs.
- Safe Zone- Statistical increase x1.5 for two posts.
- Critical Zone- Statistical increase x2.5 for two posts. Statistical decrease for one post of the same amount.
- Danger zone- Statistical increase x3 for for two posts. Rendered inert for one post while system reboots.
Passive Ability:
- "Power Levels Rising"-Every post Sky is in bankai, all stats increase by 20.
- "Isolating Weak Points"- An array of sensors that enable a variety of data input. Sensors include radar/lidar, night vision, atmospheric content, and physiological/medial scanners that allow Sky to take and monitor the vitals of other beings, including heart and brain scans. These scans also provide Sky with real-time personal physiological data.
