Armond sat on the roof of the 2nd Division barracks. He was still and behind his mask his eyes were closed. His Zanpakuto was between his legs, the blade stuck in the roof that he was on. He was no longer within this realm of existence, despite the fact that his physical form was still present. In this day and age though...what does that mean really? Armond's mind was far from here, located in the Inner World of his Zanpakuto. There he was speaking with his beloved Spirit, the only women, save his mother, whom he loved. Shenkusha. The pale beauty stood on the highest tower of the sand city. She overlooked this dark area that was bathed in the constant rainbow light of the aurora. He looked at the woman dressed in black, her eyes were constantly changing color, like the moons that spread the aurora's colors over the land. "So...you're here because..." Her back was turned to him as she observed the vast city below them. In all his years of visiting this place, it's beauty always caught him by surprise. "You know why I'm here, Shenkusha." She was silent for a moment.
"Indeed. I know why you have come here. Your heart is as obvious to me as ever. That is not the question though." She looked at him over her shoulder. Her shining eyes had an eerie glow to them, but they weren't hostile. Despite this, they unnerved Armond just a bit. "I'm here because...I need to be stronger...better." She turned to face him now. Her eyes were burning. "No. You want confirmation. You want to know that you haven't spent the last hundred years a sniveling child. I'm not your mother, and I won't treat you as such." Her tone was sharp. Armond winced a bit, but he stood tall and didn't back down. "I will never understand you, child. Why do you doubt yourself, so? Why do put yourself through this hell? Better yet. Why do you always come to ME when you are in these moods?" She rolled her eyes briefly. Armond was used to this. She wasn't very motherly at all. "Cause you're my only friend." She narrowed her eyes at him and shifted her weight. "If you took that mask off, then maybe you'd have more friends." He chuckled. In here, he wore no mask. He appeared to her as simply himself.
"You know I cannot do that...not until he is dead."
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Why did I pick you..." She asked. She sounded exhausted. "Because of my stunning good looks and natural charm?" He flashed her a smile. She merely narrowed her eyes and he raised his hands defensively. She began walking to him. "We both know where this is going to go. So let's just get it over with..." Even though she walked on sand, her heels clicked as if it was marble. She didn't enjoy this time of day, but she knew it to be important. If he was to succeed in his plans, then he would need this time. Every day, for one hour, they trained. Hard. She hated fighting like this, for no reason really. It was just hard labor that she didn't wanna do. Fighting wasn't her...thing really.
He drew his blade and it was then that his beloved held her slender hand up. "Stop...things are...chaotic right now. Return to your world. You'll find something more worth your time than this..." She turned her back on him. He opened his mouth to speak but she waved her hand dismissively, and he was cast out of her world. He woke up with a sudden gasp. Just as she predicted, he was greeted with a Hell Butterfly. It's message was clear:
Things were stirring up on Earth. Go there. Now.
Armond grabbed his blade and was off in the blind of an eye. He made his way to the Senkai Gate and presented himself accordingly. He was allowed through without problem. It confused him why HE of all people were being asked to go. He was a third seat of the Second Division. Of course...maybe they were counting on that fact. He was a stealth major...He wouldn't draw attention to himself without reason. This was, most likely, a recon mission. He knew of two Captains on earth already. Interesting...He pursed his lips behind the mask as he walked through the gate. This would be a very interesting trip to the Human World...
