There were towering buildings, moving traffic, trees, birds. This place once had a pulse that was all its own. Now the pulse was long gone. The people that once made the city come alive were all gone. Buildings reduced to rubble, and tree torn to almost nothing. The city of Karakura was a shadow of its former self. Here was where Kanada Masato called home. This wasteland resonated with him on many levels. He too was once a man of high status and pride. However just like Karakura we was cast aside and left for dead. The Seireitei abandoned him, betrayed him all in the name of holding up some false sense of self righteousness. They feared his newfound power which in honesty was gained purely by accident. True, Masato had commited possibly the worst crime known to the Soul Society, but it was for a purpose. The beings known as Arrancar were a threat, Masato had known this. However in their ignorance he was cast out and the Seireitei would pay drastically for not heeding his warnings. He had heard of the Arrancar and their ransacking of the Soul Society. They leveled the entire Soul Soceity and merely left. The news was shocking and humiliatiing. If they had've embraced masato and his power he probably could have helped to ensure that they weren't utterly embarrased. However that ship has long sailed. Masato could care less about the seireitei and its current state. Now he was planning to be the instrument of its destruction. He longed to to do the Siereitei was was done to Karakura. To reduce it to piles of ash and rubble and leave it to be forgotten years later. However for such a plane to work Masato would need an army. He couldn't waltz into the Seireitei even with his skills as the former captain of the 2nd division. Masato needed to make allies with his once sworn enemies. He just needed to encounter one. Masato sat upon the throne of was once a shrine. The throne belonged to some spirit that the people of karakura worshipped. Now Masato was god of this land and its king. He planned to build the city into a hub for his activities. For now the shrine was good enough with a few holes punched through for light. Masato sat upon his through resting his head upon his right hand, pondering. |
