Creation Guidelines
- Godmoding: While a good portion of Bleach characters are powerful, we advise you to not overdo it with their abilities, as godlike abilities without proper weaknesses will be rejected on the spot until they've been fixed accordingly. Higher rankings allow for more leanway when compared to lower leveled individuals. Stronger abilities will often be asked to have a cooldown period or a stat deduction upon being used.
- Cloning/ Mary Sueism. Someone gets an idea from a story or such, and decides to clone a character, altering very few details about them. This is not acceptable, if you wish to use similar abilities, that's fine, just make sure the rest is original. No Ichigos, Kenpachis, Naruto, Natsus, Luffys, or any other clone from another anime or show.
- Development. Your character profile will be locked upon approval. However, any new abilities you wish to add will be placed in the Ability Entry section, new items will be placed in the Item Entry and any changes made to anything other than those will be placed in the Retconn area. Most of these will either ask for a Yen or EXP cost with the exception of the retconns, which is most often for updating your character.
- Cache: Upon approval, a staff member will place a Cache entry below your character. This is to keep track of EXP, Yen, Items and any additional equipment your character may purchase or win.
- High Ranks: Higher ranks such as Espada, Taicho, Visored or Faction Leaders will have to be reserved and the reservation lasts for a month. If the character application hasn't been completed or has shown reasonable progress within two weeks, the reservation will become open again for anyone else who wishes to acquire the position.
- Starting Attacks: There is no defined limit on how many attacks a single character may have, though we do recommend not to overdo it. Hence Captains are much more likely to get away with numerous attacks whereas low seated Shinigami will obviously have less attacks due to their inexperience. There are only two major guidelines for character attacks. Arrancar, Fullbringer, and Shinigami only have access to their passive abilities while in a final release (Bankai, Resurecion, Final Form) The passive ability activates as soon as the character's abilities are released and remains active, unable to be turned off until sealed. Passive abilities are not available in Shikai. Second, the attacks of a single character must all have a relation to one another. If you have a flame based zanpaktou, you are unable to utilize anything like frost. Same applies to space-time, sound, illusion and other such abilities. The abilities must follow a specific theme and can't stray from that theme.
- Character Limit: Each member is allowed a single high ranked character and as many low ranked characters as they can keep track of. Each character will be on a separate account and be attributed to that character. However, lower ranks can still obtain a high rank through in character development.
- Approval: Abilities, Items and characters will most often be approved by a single moderator/admin except in certain cases. These cases involve high ranked characters and faction leaders (Human Leader, Head Captain, Cero Espada, Visored Elder, etc). With high ranked characters, two staff must review the app and input anything needing to be altered. One of the staff must be an admin. With faction leaders, there needs to be extra clarity when being approved, hence them requiring the approval of three of our staff, with at least one of them being an admin. This serves as a failsafe and prevents any godmodded ability from passing through in addition to allowing us to efficiently review your character app.
- Faceclaims: While using a character from another show, we require the media source and the name of the character off the show. Original works that aren't copyrighted or other drawings are fine. The only restrictions on faceclaims are they must not be Bleach canon. Anything of Bleach canon will instantly be denied with few exceptions. The exceptions are the few hollow and shinigami seen in the background of the anime/manga. Otherwise, no Bleach canon.
- Linked Sig. As your character is approved, we require you to link your character in your signature once they are moved to the Archives section. This provides an easy means of linking back to your character during roleplaying.
- Hybrid Characters: By our definition, a hybrid character will be one possessing traits from more than a single class of beings. By default, we have the classification of Visored, which is a hybrid of Shinigami and Hollow. However, some characters may possess unique powers that don't classify with their original race, such as a human having hollow powers, though they aren't classified as a fullbringer, possessing a inner hollow that consumes them. Or maybe a human that would pick up a zanpaktou and begin life as a shinigami. For these, the Mod Soul template and skill paths (Blank & Reaper paths) are traditionally recommended, allowing the soul to obtain abilities they normally don't classify for, being of a modified nature.
