Description:
Takeshi stands at 7 feet and 7 inches dwarfing most men, with an equally intimidating frame possessing 485 pounds of pure power (or at least his Gigai does). His skin is rough like sandpaper, and a tanned umber colour. The most distinguishable feature would be the scar below his left eye, stretching to his left ear. His hair is black and matted stretching down to the middle of his back, his eyes a deep brown, looming out from underneath his thick brow. His chin is also very prominent, seeing numerous wear over the years. His physique is impressive, possessing broad shoulders and thick arms in addition to the weathered but extremely toned abdominals, his physique rivaling even that of the most adept bodybuilder.
Takeshi wears the traditional Shinigami black attire, although he usually keeps it open near the top where a necklace with coloured beads and two large teeth can be seen. That is, if he even decides to wear the upper portion of his uniform, often wearing a large black cloak covering his figure. More often than not, Takeshi will also don a Hollow's mask across his face, though he is not a Hollow nor does he affiliate with the Vizard, it's more of a add-on to further make him more menacing to those he faces. A large leather belt adorns the upper portion of Takeshi's pants, often made of a remarkable weight to increase Takeshi's resilience further. It is also noted that Takeshi often has excessive weights underneath his hakama, and often across his triceps as well. The weights are extremely heavy and are mainly used for Takeshi's training regiment, often tucked within his boots.

Personality:
Takeshi is a rather blunt individual should one get to know him. At first glance, his large frame and constant anger sets him apart, leaving noone to mess with him. He is rather blunt about everything in general and has no qualms about stating what is on his mind, despite how controversial it may be. This even includes confronting Captains and other high ranking members to get his point across. This personality trait also doesn't score him any points among the opposite sex, as Takeshi's manners are rather nonexistent, Takeshi often resorting to vulgar jokes and usage of various cursing in an attempt to woo whomever has caught his interest. Ironically enough, the only women who catches his interests are the ones who reject him right away, often resorting to violence to rid themselves of his company.
All jokes aside, there is one thing Takeshi takes seriously, his training. He keeps his massive frame tone by lifting obscene amounts of weight in order to increase his strength for his favorite hobby. He relishes the thought of combat, and the stronger the opponent, the happier he is while facing such an individual, even if their power far exceeds his own. Takeshi, on occasion, has even stood his ground and fought against his and other Captains just for the adrenaline surge it gives him. However, Takeshi will throw every last fiber of his willpower, which remains unbreakable, into the defeat of his opponent, whether it be incapacitating them or slaughtering them. Any who gives him a good fight has earned his respect, otherwise he won't show such humbleness towards one weaker than himself.
This side of him is his more prideful side, using sadism and masochism as a fuel to a demented source of pleasure, every hit dealt against him stimulating him even further into the bloodthirsty, lust driven berserker of a Shinigami he is. He refuses to admit defeat until he himself has fallen to his opponent, such is his honor. He is well versed in the art of Bushido and follows most of it's principles (minus the obvious respect portion) even insisting that should he meet a strong enough opponent, that they respect his honor and let him die by their blade.
History:
Death Before Dishonour
Takeshi, as a human, was among a noble family. He himself doesn't know anything about his previous life, but it still holds merit in his values. As being born in a noble family and being the firstborn son, he was tasked with upholding the family name. As such, as a child, he was pressured into vigorous training, learning how to efficiently fight in close quarters and even the ability to wield a blade. It was also this time he was taught the Bushido code, his evolution into a samurai beginning.
His training yielded many scars and many torn ligaments. There were times where Takeshi felt as though he couldn't go on, but he persevered, using his pain as a fuel source for his determination. It was here when he developed such a resistance to pain, that even the fatal of wounds made him laugh, his growing willpower pushing him further as he honed his mind, his body and his will.
Eventually, his determination landed him a spot amongst other likeminded samurai under the current ruling feudal lords. His service under them saw the slaughter of nearly a hundred men, brutally carrying out his goal, his blade often cleaving through flesh indiscriminately. This brutal and merciless nature of his earned him the surname of Kamavirya. He had amassed a plethora of enemies who fostered a deep hatred for the young samurai, still only 28 at the time. This hatred led Takeshi's enemies to group together and plot against the man. Having deemed Takeshi a threat, his current allies turning on him as well. Being assigned to a new assassination task, Takeshi was faced down by nearly an army of men. Drawing his sword, he stood his ground according to the ideal of Bushido, fighting the massive onslaught of bodies that came at him.
Blood flew through the air like a shower, Takeshi's bloodlust becoming evident as he carved through each individual's flesh, making his mark be known. He must have killed numerous men, suffering major wounds himself, though his adrenaline kept his will strong, as his blade rang true. As he delivered another stroke, five of the warriors synonymously came at him, their blades being driven into him, as they overwhelmed him. Their blades receded as Takeshi was left laying on the ground to die. Takeshi's soul seemed to engulf in rage, his corporeal body tearing from his corpse as the Chain of Fate shattered, his rage consuming him as his spirit came down upon the men, the dishonor he had been given upon death causing the appearance of a mask to form across the nearly demonic features of his body.
As Takeshi's soul began to Hollowify, his rage grew. The sudden emergence of a man in black announced the large demon's salvation, as the blade cleaved through Takeshi's larynx upon the sight of him, the mask shattering as Takeshi clutched his throat, his spiritual body dissipating as the Shinigami watched him fall. He had been revived by his honor, only to die by the blade as he had originally wished.
Life In The Rukongai
Upon opening his eyes, Takeshi found himself to be alive, all previous memories escaping him. Pulling himself to his feet, he found himself staggering into the slums of the Rukongai District. Upon wandering around for several days, he found himself running into a group of delinquents, who prodded at Takeshi's large stature. As they pulled out knives on him, Takeshi felt his temper being pushed. Letting out a hoarse roar of rage, Takeshi quickly disposed of the men, who were naught but talk after all. Many occasions such as this followed Takeshi, as there were many a man who wished to make a name for themselves. But even amongst a crowd, Takeshi was still capable of holding his own. Having no home, Takeshi often spent late nights in local bars, often sleeping in the rooms at a discount for assisting the bar owners with security.
It was when some men in black came into one of the bars, that Takeshi couldn't help himself but to eavesdrop. He learned a great many things from the men, namely about the Sereitei and the ones called Shinigami. His interest was immediately peaked, as he had always strove for higher grounds. Few weeks passed, and Takeshi found himself at the doors to the Shinigami training academy.
As Takeshi strove to improve himself, he quickly rose through the ranks of the Academy. His marks were excellent in the areas of Hakudo and Zanjutsu, although his marks in Kidō were lacking. Even despite his obvious lack of Kidō skills, he was accepted into the Gotei, assigned to a position in Division 10, which he eagerly accepted.
A Dying Breed
Takeshi quickly gained a reputation among his division as a ruthless and merciless barbarian who loved warfare. It was this cruel and rough edge Takeshi possessed that got him a seated position in the division and his first actual assignment.
His first solo assignment was to exterminate a group of Hollows nestled in the outskirting forests bordering the Rukongai. As Takeshi arrived, his first target soon caught his gaze: a giant Hollow in the shape of a tyrannosaurus, dwarfing even his massive frame. Letting a smile cross his face, he drew his zanpaktou as he blindly charged at the Hollow, which followed suit. It was what he yearned for:a pure adrenaline rush which could only be obtained in combat. as Takeshi's blade collided with the hulking Hollow, his sword cleaved upwards with Takeshi's strength, slicing the Hollow in two. Spitting irritatingly at the simplicity of the kill, Takeshi quickly dealt with the two smaller Hollows, physically using his hands and strength to rip the masks off their faces as they slowly died from their masks being removed. That was when a fourth presence brought a smile to his face. His bulky mass turned to see that individual standing near a tree, analyzing him. The man's hair was long and shaggy of a turquoise and grey mixture, a bony fragment of what appeared to be a mask covered the left side of the man's face.
Takeshi laughed as he recognized the man as an Arrancar, the first he had seen. Oh, how he'd loved to test his strength against such an individual. He felt another rush of ambition consume him as he launched himself towards the individual, who retaliated with a blade of his own. Takeshi's blade swung wildly as he attempted to carve into the Arrancar, who seemed to block every blow dealt.
The battle seemed to go on for nearly a week, as steel met steel, with the occasional misstep saw the incision of steel into flesh. Takeshi was enthralled with his luck at finding such an opponent. His skin was cut deeply from the Arrancar's blade, the Arrancar suffering minor wounds of his own. Takeshi's adrenaline was still driving him, though it seemed the Arrancar was growing weary. As Takeshi took advantage of the weakened state of the Arrancar, he cleanly decapitated the Hollow with a clean sweep of his blade. As the Arrancar's head rolled off the shoulders, Takeshi tongue ran across the tip of his blade, resheathing the blade. Leaning over, Takeshi picked up the mask that was left. Placing it on his mane of black hair, Takeshi laughed to himself.. It was fun while it lasted...
Divided We Fall
Several years past, and Takeshi's next important moment would come: his first mission to the human realm. Upon exiting the Genkai, Takeshi breathed in deeply through the Gigai he had been given. He was tasked to watch over this area of Japan for the next six months, taking over for the previous Shinigami. About two weeks in, Takeshi came across a dark forested area where two men had a woman pinned down against one of the buildings. Usually these kinds of things didn't bother Takeshi, but he felt a certain attraction towards the features of the woman. She was small, petite, yet toned, her facial features still beautiful even in her weakened attempts at putting on a brave act.
Takeshi, despite being a ruthless barbarian of a man, took sympathy for the woman, intervening in the matter. Lifting the two men by the back of their necks Takeshi growled a threat into their ears, as he flung them over his shoulders. Glaring at the men, they quickly scrambled away at the mere sight of the large behemoth, as he turned to the woman. Originally, the woman turned him away, but Takeshi kept at it, an irrational passion gripping him. Eventually, the woman warmed up to him despite her cold yet proud demeanor. It was one of the factors that drew Takeshi to her.
The woman was Koaru Kiyomizu, daughter of a noble under the name of Akihito. He courted Koaru, even fathering a daughter, Miwa Kiyomizu, with her. As Takeshi looked over his newborn daughter's face, he seemed to have developed somewhat of a soft side. However, the soft side was soon gone as his mission in Japan ended, Takeshi bidding Koaru goodbye.
He would come to visit fourteen years later, as his mission led him back. He spent most of the two months he was stationed there to spend time with Koaru, and even to train his daughter to be as capable warrior as himself, the development of latent powers beginning to emerge in his daughter's petite frame. Leaving again, he bid the two farewell.
While his family remains in Japan, Takeshi strives to improve himself while in the Sereitei, his demeanor changing very little among his peers, still with the same ruthless and bloodthirsty demeanor as before. The latest news he had received from the human realm signified the death of his lover, and the transfer of Miwa into her grandfather's care. Takeshi view never turned back, respecting the elderly Akihito Kiyomizu, so his thoughts turned away from his daughter Miwa and her deceased mother. instead focusing on his duties as Shinigami and a method to further better himself.
Word had spread around the lesser hollows of a Shinigami who traveled to Japan on occasion to seek out strong Hollows which would provide him a challenge. Takeshi enjoyed his little quests into Japan, although he always avoided the area in which his daughter lived. Pushing his thoughts of Koaru and Miwa to the back of his mind, Takeshi constantly got approval from Soul Society to return to Japan, as his loss only fueled his resolve. For most, this would most certainly introduce a method of Hollowfication if it was in but another weaker willed individual. But the motive drove Takeshi, and his methods were rather Hollow like to begin with. For one, he required trophies of the beings he had slain. With the Hollows, it consisted of physically removing their masks to keep as souvenirs. It was to to this act of sadism that Takeshi hoped that it would possibly bring him the recognition to face another strong Arrancar so he can truly test his skills.

Vengeance, My Name Is Kami
Hiking to the summit of the tallest mountain in the Rukongai, Takeshi sat on the peak, placing Zainen Shiren upon his lap as he attempted to contact his zanpaktou's spirit. Through intense focus, Takeshi managed to insert himself into his inner world, the massive form of Zainen Shiren looming over him, appearing much different then he usually did.
Without a word, Zainen's fist came crashing down on Takeshi, as Takeshi felt the weight press down upon him, initiating a battle that would span for four years. Zainen, now Zainen Kaiketsu had nearly killed Takeshi on numerous occasions, Takeshi fighting to a standstill on many other occasions as he remained vigilant in his goal, which was to make Zainen Kaiketsu submit to him and grant him the full potential of the blade.
Exhausted beyond the point of no return, Takeshi's will wavered as he returned to Sereitei after five years of struggling against Zainen Kaiketsu. He was on the verge of forcibly unlocking Bankai, and he would not stop until Zainen laid beneath him. But his duties as part of the Gotei 13 called. He nearly had memorized the strength and weaknesses of Zainen after consistently facing him. He could now fully compete against the zanpaktou spirit on equal grounds, though he needed to push it just a little to achieve Bankai.
